Guide to buying art
Art is a very subjective thing, certain pieces speak to you and make you feel emotions, other pieces may compliment a look your hoping to achieve in your home. Portraits remind you of loved ones and are cherished for generations. I always feel art is like jewellery for your walls, ever changing depending on your mood. If you like my art and would like to purchase a piece, either the original, limited edition giclée print or standard print, even an art card. Depending on your budget, there is lots to choose from, please have a look around my site and visit my shop.
What to consider when buying
It’s not always easy deciding what size of painting would suit a space, consider some of these points before choosing.
- The size of the room and walls, ie. small paintings could look lost on a large wall.
- Height of ceilings, maybe you would like a long thin painting.
- The colour scheme, are you going to change to suit the painting or want the painting to suit a decorated room?

Giclée Prints
The Definition: Giclée (zhee-klay) – The French word “Giclée” is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The word may have been derived from the French verb “gicler” meaning “to squirt”. In giclée printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used, so no visible dot screen pattern is visible. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting, a type of digital fine-art print. The quality of the Giclée print rivals traditional printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries. A reproduction of artwork and photographs can be achieved on a wide range of surfaces including vinyl, canvas, plus various weights and textures of paper or card.
