Citrine has been called the “stone of the mind”, where Ancient cultures believed that placing a citrine on the forehead of an elder would increase his psychic power. Also known as the lucky “Merchants Stone”, as they possess money energy.
Citrine is one of the most popular gemstones available today.
It is a yellow-to-golden member of the large quartz (SiO2) mineral group. The name ‘citrine’ was derived from ‘citron’, a French word meaning ‘lemon’, although its color tends to be more golden rather than lemon-yellow.
Used by healers to: aid digestion, relieve depression, promote clarity of thought.
They are said to give joy and love to the owner, I can see why, they are lovely.
Brazil is the world’s leading supplier, other sources of citrine include, Bolivia, several African countries and parts of the Soviet Union.
